Bronwyn Averett

This project was inspired by various phenomena of the natural world — the way trees communicate, the body’s reaction to immersion in our environment, and the unseen music and unique past of the forest.

The experience lived for three years along the North Forest Trail of the Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art, and was comprised of six multimedia installations.

I participated in the concept development and wrote the experience texts, as well as the marketing language.

Whispering Tree

A personal highlight of this project was writing and recording the narration for a site-specific interactive installation that allowed visitors to “speak” with a majestic tree.
